What is the ICU service centre?
ICU service centre is based in Uganda and is part of ICUganda (International Contact Uganda), an independent NGO based in the Netherlands. The ICU Service Centre is established in order to monitor and develop existing and new NGO’s in Uganda. We provide management-, communication- and bookkeeping training and intermediate volunteers willing to work for an NGO.
Why the ICU service centre?
ICUganda works closely together with other foundations around the world that have established a CBO or NGO in
Uganda or would like to start a new one but face some limitations. These contacts showed that there is a need for a front office based in Uganda We will be there when needed to provide you on-the-spot information; E.g. status and development of your local project, training the local employees or project managers, fund-spending and to network suitable volunteers for sharing knowledge and to experience working in a developing country. As ICU we also acknowledged the lack of access to relevant information or limited communication skills. The ICU service centre stimulates working together and sharing knowledge. That is why ICU service centre is here for you.

Vision
The ICU Service Centre envisions building capacity of Ugandan local project managers to discover and
exploit their local potentials in a sustainable manner without relying on foreign aid all the time. Income from the service centre is reinvested in local development projects initiated by ICUganda.
